Chalk.ph visited Far Eastern University (FEU) for their annual campus tour, with campaign mantras ‘look good, live young, love hard’ set to inspire young minds transpired last August 31 at the FEU Auditorium.
The five-year long campaign tour went around the campuses in the metro, with a goal to ignite human connection through face-to-face interactions and mental health cognizance. They invited artists and influencers to embody their campaign’s ideals.
“So we bring in artists, but we want the artist to impart knowledge hindi lang basta mag-‘hi’ o ‘hello’? (not just say ‘hi’ or ‘hello’). We want them (students) to learn and be inspired by these people”, Jacqueline Ignacio, Chalk.ph brand manager said in an interview.
For the last leg of this year’s campus tour, Chalk.ph brought influencers Helen on Fleek, Enchong Dee and Laura Lehmann in FEU.
Social influencer, Helen on Fleek, tackled the stigma of beauty and addressed body shaming during her talk. She ventured on advocating freedom to the Tamaraws, as the rewarding process of self-acceptance and love.
“Once you stop listening to others on things you can’t do but think you can do, you’ll know your potentials”, she stated during her talk.
On the other hand, renowned actor, Enchong Dee, geared the crowd to life on his segment for ‘live young’, and talked about being a ‘budgetarian’, empowering FEU students into effective financial budgeting. He also accentuated experiential learning as the gratifying essence of travelling.
“That’s the beauty of humanity. When you travel, there are things you can’t see in the classroom. It is experiential”, the young actor posited during the event.
A beauty expert herself, Laura Lehmann shared her own on ‘look good’ segment. She rather posited that looking good can’t be found in superficiality—it is being one’s self rather than following the norm and rejects conformity in what society dictates.
“You look good when you invest in yourself and pursue your passions”, motivated Laura imparted during her talk.
The event was in collaboration with Office of the Student Development and Far Eastern University Central Student Organization.
