Far Eastern University (FEU) Tams FX (TFX) Atlas snapped their fifth win against Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) LG Altair in the Alliance Games Season 3 Call of Duty Mobile (COD:M) Group Stage held last May 7.
The Morayta-based gunners faced a close control match within three minutes of the round that led the team to continuously fire aims in a quick phase.
TFX Atlas team captain Edsel Paguia (TFX Edsel) shot bullets as the in-game leader to guide the team in leading the markers, 250-237.
Breaking into the Search and Destroy, green-and-gold rep Mario Padel (TFX Cash) started the round with his first blood along with his triple kills, and assisted the TFX with a total of 18 frags.
In a post-game interview with FEU Advocate, TFX Edsel shared that their comms and timing helped them to finish the matches quickly, especially in Search and Destroy.
“Everything was just falling into place eh. Our timing and communication were precise so we always managed to catch them off guard. In our minds, we really just wanted to secure our playoffs spot,” he said.
The team captain also mentioned their plans and way of coming up with strats as their preparations for their matches on the CONQuest stage after they officially secured their playoffs spot.
“We're in the process of hiring a coach, nilalakad na ng TFX sa admin yung funds actually and we hope they approve it. Every season, ibang plays and strats ang ginagawa namin pag playoffs kasi opposing teams have probably scouted us by then (We're in the process of hiring a coach, TFX is actually walking the funds to the admin and we hope they approve it. Every season, we do different plays and strats in the playoffs because opposing teams have probably scouted us by then)” he stated.
The Morayta-based squad is now in a 5-3 win-loss record and will strive to attain another lift against Mapua University MGS Ares for the CONQuest Festival 2023 on June 2 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
