Far Eastern University (FEU) Bamboo Band gives a concert tribute for Pangkat Kawayan (FEUPK) 50th anniversary last March 4 at FEU Chapel.
FEU Bamboo Band holds a concert every year and this year’s theme is entitled “A Celebration of Love, Life, and Music” and was a celebration of two events.
“So this year we are celebrating, actually we are going in to the 50th anniversary of the former group, the FEU Pangkat Kawayan,” Norberto Cads, Artistic Director of FEU Bamboo Band said.
He added that this is also for the graduation of his senior members. FEUPK was a group established in FEU Grade School. In 2007, the group was reorganized and was renamed to FEU Bamboo Band.
Martin Lopez, President’s Committee on Culture (PCC) director delivered his welcoming remarks after the singing of National Anthem and the doxology.
Eight songs were performed by the band in the concert proper. The event was ended with the awarding of PCC certificates to graduates and closing remarks from Cads.
