Far Eastern University (FEU) students successfully qualified for the 18th Markprof Bootcamp top 33 finalists last Thursday, September 23.
The two representatives of the university for the program are Rigel Kent Alvaran of BA Political Science and Jalyn Huang of BS Accountancy.
Markprof Bootcamp selects only 25 students out of 1,000 applicants every year to be part of its prestigious training, but this year, 33 were selected.
Given the stringent process in the program’s selection, Alvaran expressed that he is nervous but excited about the opportunity of joining the training.
He also shared that he aspires to learn in Marketing since it would be helpful for his future profession.
“The prestigious marketing leadership Bootcamp can help me open my perspective on how advertising and promotion of sales correlate to the masses,” Alvaran said.
In addition, Huang stated that she is open to go through a different career path given the opportunity that the program provides.
“The Bootcamp allows for more possibilities and professional connections. If I manage to do well and come to love it, I would have to reassess my career options,” Huang shared.
Similarly, Alvaran shares the same sentiment of expanding his career options.
Further, Huang anticipates that the program would be rewarding given the rarity of programs that offer training with business executives.
“I believe the surest path to exploring my potential is if I put myself out there and learn, both from industry experts and peers,” Huang added.
After the announcement of the program’s top 100 students last September 1, six students from the university advanced for the final screening.
Prior to the final screening, the students were trained by the FEU Student Development.
Other students were Jake Jefferson Abuso, Yogen Anthony Ravelo, Bryan Soria, and Mark Loren Villaverde.
Markprof Bootcamp is an 8-day free training program on Marketing and Sales with top executives and leaders of prominent businesses and corporations in the industry.
Among the knowledge partners of the MarkProf Foundation Inc. are prominent corporations like Jollibee, McDonald's, Unilever, Globe, Johnson & Johnson, and Google.
The program will take place from Saturday, October 9 to Friday, December 5, 2021.
