Far Eastern University (FEU) student-activists represented fellow students' struggles by demonstrating a 'First Day Fight' rally in front of FEU Gate 4 earlier today, January 15.
The demonstrators called upon FEU's tuition fee hike as a precedent for issues on the recent enrollment period and Wellness and Recreation Program (WRP).
Several students recently faced difficulties due to multiple website crashes that caused a delay in the second semester enrollment.
Moreover, the protesters lashed out at the WRP's insufficient booking system.
The rally also showed resistance to the Marcos administration's charter change and Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.
As unconsolidated jeepneys are allowed to operate in some areas until January 31, Transport group Malayang Alyansa ng Bus Employees at Laborers (Manibela) declared a nationwide transport strike for tomorrow, January 16.
On the same day, the University announced a temporary switch into online classes.
