Far Eastern University (FEU) has decided to replace the FEU College Admission Test (FEUCAT) for Academic Year 2021-2022 with a new screening process.
In accordance with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, the University came up with a 'provisional screening process' based on the students' academic performance in Grades 11 and 12.
"The deliberation started sometime in April [2020] and from there all applicants who still wants to pursue their education in FEU were informed that we will have a different way on how to evaluate them for them to be eligible for admission in FEU," Admissions and Financial Assistance (AFA) Senior Director Michelle Acomular shared with FEU Advocate.
For the said process, AFA introduced the Student Placement for Admission to College Education (SPACE) where students can proceed with their application by filling out forms and uploading their respective academic performances.
In addition, Acomular mentioned that the University provides more consideration this year since some of the usual required documents are not easily accessible.
FEU Admissions started accepting applicants for FEU Manila and Makati campuses last October 2020 and will continue to accept applicants for school year 2021-2022 with consideration to the late opening of classes of the previous academic year.
Other Metro Manila institutions such as Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), De La Salle University (DLSU) National University (NU), University of the Philippines (UP), and University of Santo Tomas (UST) also decided to waive their respective entrance exams.
