As more players welcome the idea of taking their talents overseas, Creamline Cool Smasher and former Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraw Celine Domingo will now continue her professional career in the Women’s Volleyball Thailand League.
Domingo’s management agency Virtual Playground revealed that the former University Athletic Association (UAAP) middle blocker will suit up for the Nakhon Ratchasima VC of the Women's Volleyball Thailand League.
In her official statement, the 2019 Philippines women's national under-23 team captain shared her expectations as a player in this new chapter. Domingo also did not close the door on a potential return to the Philippine Volleyball scene.
“Thailand has always been one of the famous volleyball countries and to be part of [Nakhonratchasima], I know I'll grow more and be able to give back to Philippine Volleyball when I get back as a more mature and better player.”
Creamline Cool Smashers announced in their Facebook page last October 18 that the 5'9 middle blocker will not be returning for their upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference title defense campaign.
The former green-and-gold volleybelle won Best Middle Blocker in their silver finish in the UAAP season 81 campaign.
Domingo was also awarded finals' most valuable player. She also got the second best middle blocker in her tenure with Creamline where she was part of four PVL championships, two in the Open Conference, one in the Invitational Conference, and one in the Reinforced Conference.
