Pasko sa Piyu highlights Nutcracker novelty

With the theme “The Nutcracker”, Far Eastern University (FEU) celebrates this year’s Pasko Sa Piyu which aims to promote and showcase cultural groups under President’s Committee on Culture (PCC) at FEU Plaza, November 21.
According to PCC Office Service Assistant Jhon Mark Isla, their office decided to celebrate this year’s Pasko Sa Piyu by highlighting ballet as their main performance.
“Gusto rin naming makilala ang ballet world, underrated siya but it’s one of the most important general dance(We also wanted the ballet world to be recognized, underrated, but it’s one of the most important general dance),” he said.
Led by FEU Drum and Bugle Corps, the event had performances from FEU Bamboo Band, FEU Theater Guild, and FEU Dance Company, consecutively.
In his opening remark, PCC Director Martin Lopez, seeks support from the FEU community to continuously appreciate the organization. “We hope that you continue to journey with us, as we continue to make more of a difference, a bigger difference in your life, the life of society, through the art,” he shared.
Further, the program ended with the lighting of FEU’s symbolic Christmas tree along with renditions of Christmas medley by hosts and university officials.
