Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws drew their third loss of the season against the Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons after missing the presence of Kyla Go during the fourth canto, 61-95, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 85 women’s basketball tournament held at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila City today, October 12.
Go led the Tamaraws with 12 points before being fouled out during the third quarter of the game as she listed five fouls over the San Marcelino-based team.
In a post-game interview with FEU Advocate, the stellar Morayta cagebelle shared the frustration she felt after leaving the match with a quarter left to play.
“Sobrang nakaka-frustrate [kasi] gusto ko pa i-laban, masakit kasi kahit gustuhin ko pa lumaban hindi na pwede kasi graduate [na sa game] (It's very frustrating [because] I still want to fight, it hurts because even if I want to fight I can't because I've graduated [in the game]),” Go stated.
Lady Tamaraw veterans Princess Jumuad and Danica Pacia were found challenged to salvage the last canto as they suffered a 34-point defeat, falling to a 1-3 win-loss record.
It was a collective effort for the green-and-gold squad as FEU gunner Jumuad produced 10 markers with a 71.4% shooting range from the field, while Pacia chipped in nine points.
Shaine Salvani also added offense for the team after generating eight points, while Jamerin Delos Santos, Erica Lopez and Angel Obien had six markers apiece.
The Lady Tamaraws will try to clinch their second win against the De La Salle University Lady Archers on Saturday, October 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
