Far Eastern University Central Student Organization (FEUCSO) clarified the alleged withholding of their budget in light of Kadiwa Student Coalition presidentiable Lawrence Aidan Cunanan’s suspicion on FEUCSO’s transparency in a social media statement released today, April 18.
Cunanan questioned the organization’s inability to release a transparency report during the FEU Elections 2024 Grand Debate against Isanliyab Servant Leaders’ Union president candidate Christmer Roland Ordanes.
According to the statement, FEUCSO received a portion of their funds last March 6 and acquired the complete P3.5M budget last March 18 from the Student Development Office.
The organization also said they immediately distributed the organizational funds upon receiving the first check.
“Currently, the remaining batch of organization funds for SY 2022-2023 (2nd Semester and Midyear) was also claimed, deposited, and are now in the process of distribution to the rest of the student organizations,” the statement read.
FEUCSO reiterated they have been in constant efforts to attain their allocated budget from the students’ miscellaneous fees.
The organization said their transparency reports are yet to be released as the term is still ongoing while their annual report will be posted once the current term’s end looms.
